Dear Sir,

I have required Samba Server (smb file) and PDC server running
successfully as windows file server and also snapshot of it.

Please anybody have running smb file with read/write access for user
and others have no right send it me.

One more thing what is the solution when we login from xp with samba
user and then again login same user data is opened means don't login
with another user.

For another user login we have to log out or reboot the machine.

Samba server can act as PDC for windows, can you provide some more description about snapshot ?

If you are using RHEL5 / 6  you can just install all the packages related to samba and will get all document with example files and commands also in /usr/share/doc/samba-XXXX directory.

This is the default behavior, you do not require extra settings on that.

Thanks and Regards.

Dear Nileshbhai,

Snapshot means I want to see How it is running when it act as PDC or
Simple Standalone Samba Server. We are using Fedora 14. I tried lots
of time but not success. Can We use PDC in both environment? Means we
have 300+ network computers some has winxp to win7 and some has rehl9
to fedora 14. We have to make one samba sever instead of currently
running Novell Netware 5.x server. Is it possible ?

We have to give some users to give full access or some users to give
no access or read or write . Only root can get full access of all
user's directory.

An one major problem is that when any first user login from any
windows machine could not login by another user either they give log
off or reboot the machine. That is universal problem in samba I think.

We are handling lots samba servers few of them have 400+ clients.

We have to give some users to give full access or some users to give
no access or read or write . Only root can get full access of all
user's directory.
Can easily achieve with ACL.

Yes you need to logout the user.
