Virus Issue in Samba Server Please help

Hello All,

Hope You are doiung well.

I have a samba server with 150 windows client

I am having virus issue in samba server as well as windows client I deleted all virus from samba server with Clamav and in windows client with spyware doctor but again virus  comes after two days I deleted virus  from server and client so many time but again it comes after two or three days.

Please suggest me what should i do for the same and please give me appropriate solution for this issue.

   Try veto option with your share directory.

   Veto files = /*.exe/*.com/*.dll/*.inf/*.pif/*.scr/*.eml/*.lnk/

to resolve this, if you are using licensed AV ask vendor to get you network scan enabled.

back then i was using trendmicro which never scanned file if accessed over network,
as of now using kaspersky which does scan.

Dear amit

you can try samba + vscan it is an opensource antivirus for samba, it will scan all open and close file on your samba server, but before
doing this for one time you will have to clean virus from windows system, as after implemantation it will scan files on linux server.
