Zimbra Open Source Backup Solution...

Dear All,

I am using Zimbra 7.x mail server.

I want to take a backup of all the zimbra mail users with his emails.

Please, give me an open source solution for the same.

Hello,

Following are the option :

1. Easiest is copy /opt or make .tar.gz of /opt and keep it to different storage or to your backup storage device.

2. You can migrate it hourly or daily to another Zimbra Server. (this is resource hungry) 

3. Zimbra itself gives facility to backup mailboxes check preferences tab.

If you are looking for incremental and differential kind of backup in open source soliton then it's not there, it's only available in paid versions.

I think so there some best options for backup.

First is u take backup for using zimlet (ref :  http://www.zextras.com/zextras-backup-for-zimbra.html )

And other one is create shell script (ref:  http://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Backing_up_and_restoring_Zimbra_%28Open_Source_Version%29#Another_option )

Freeware solutions for Zimbra backup in open source editions are very limited you will have to work it out on your own.
