Here i hv implemented a squid proxy web caching server with NCSA authentication. Proxy users are able to login and accessing the internet. Now client wants to change his proxy password from their end. Any idea regarding that.

You can use USERMIN to change the password. It changes all the password of the user on the server. It is user friendly and access of the server via web.

No, You can not change password of other user. Even it is not possible with linux too. Only root user has right to do this action.

If other user can change your password then it is security loop. Only Administrator can reset your password.

Also you said that Client want to change their password. Solution is Usermin only.

Hi

Use this perl file to set the proxy password  of users through browser.  Please change/rename  the  .txt to .pl.

"Invalid user or password or forgot to check 'New User'

Please check your name and re-enter passwords. ""   though i m putting the currect username and password.

Have to checked up chpasswd.cgi/htpasswd.c available on squid home page
in related software--Authenticators. It is working fine. It allows user to change password from browser by opening the url.
