I want to know the information/steps about how to mount NTFS partition into linux.

Modern Linux systems mount NTFS File system automatically.

Always mention which Linux Distribution with version you are using.

This topic has already been discussed many times here in VGLUG and Mr.
Tejas Barot has written good article here.

Dear Mishal

To mount NTFS partition download fuse & ntfs-3g packages.

After Extracting Fuse & Ntfs-3g software go to that directory

run ./configure --exec-prefix=/; make; make install

then try to mount as shown below

mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/hda2 /mnt/ntfs

Just install ntfs-3g..

And then $mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/sda1 /mnt/mntpoint

install fuse & mount your NTFS drive easily on linux.

yum install fuse
