Going to send this out. I know it's a bit early, but can I get some feedback on this before I send it?

FAQ:

What's a game jam?

A game jam is an event where game developers, beginners and veterans alike come together in small groups to make a game, over a short period of time.

What do I get?

You get valuable game development experience. And possibly a game to throw onto your portfolio to show off.  And great friends. Just do it!

Can I join even though I have no experience?

Absolutely. This event is to help you learn.

Can I be with my friends?

We'll be putting people into random groups, so it's fair.

I'm not sure what role to pick!

That's fine. Try new things! Fastest way to learn is to jump right in.

Will the teams be even?

We'll do our best to split the teams evenly, fear not!

Will there be food?

We'll provide snacks and drinks.

Global Game Jam

What is the Global Game Jam?

This is a game jam different from the ones VGDC holds. At this jam, you can expect to meet some professionals from the industry. The global game jam itself is a world-wide event, and UCI is only one of many participating locations.

For more information, check this out.

When is the Global Game Jam?

The Global Game Jam runs for 48 hours, from January 23-25, 2015!
The jam will be kicking off here at UCI at 6:00 pm on the 23rd.

Does the Jam cost anything?

The jam is free to attend!
However, you'll need to sign up quick, as there are few spots left.

GAME DEVELOPERS WEEK
Game Developers Week is a week long event where we bring the professional developers to you, every single night.

There will be a total of 10 speakers; 2 every day.

This event is held annually in order to give members a taste of what it might be like to go to the Game Developers Conference which is held in San Francisco every year.

Last year's event had speakers such as Brian Kindregan from Blizzard Entertainment, Tomas Jech from Riot Games, and Nolan Bushnell from Atari.

When:

February 23rd - 27th
