Goodbye VFXY...

It is with great regret that i have asked VFXY admin to cancel my
photoblog listing.

In my messsage to them, I stated that i did understand that they were
understaffed, but that after weeks on end of waiting, I was
dissatisfied for the following reasons:

-- No acknowledgement of my knight status.
-- No response to pleas for help with technical problems with blog
name display.
-- That when I changed from aminus3 to wordpress, with photos linked
from my gallery site, these were not accepted for the Weekly Theme.

The last straw was today. I've just changed my blog again to have it
on my gallery site, VFXY doesn't accept the RSS feed, adn because of
that, I can't change to the new blog.

After all of the above unanswered questions, there seems to be no
another message to VFXY admin, so I give up totally!

Hi Andrew,

No offense, but there is no need to post these details to a public group. The discussion group is not a place to rant about your displeasure. There is a photoblog and account delete feature that you should use.

I apologise sincerely for your displeasure. Our head moderator recently moved to the UK and everything has been on pause for a week or two. If you have your eyes set on leaving, then we wish you all the best in the future.

You mentioned that everything has been on pause for a week or two? if that is the case then 
Im just wondering why have I been waiting for almost 6 months now? 

I can sympathise with Andrew posting his displeasure. He has expressed his feelings on few ocassions and he has been ignored
numerous times.

What a rude response. This is no "rant". It's simply stating the
facts, and the details I've given would come as no surprise at all to
most of the members of this group. Interesting that you guys have time
to answer me here, but not when I write to you repeatedly about
genuine problems with VFXY.

Hi Levi, Andrew,

You're right perhaps rant was a bit harsh a word. My point is, we don't ignore our members and we do read the group postings. You are heard loud and clear. The simple fact is that things have gotten extremely out of hand with the approval process. Without giving away much detail we have been entertaining ideas for restructuring it so that our members don't have to wait. Either by simplifying the process or revamping it completely.

I feel your displeasure and our team knows it doesn't reflect well. Clearly there is an issue with the way things are done and we are working hard to revamp it. Unfortunately, this is the only thing I can offer right now. We're sorry to see you go, though our hands are really tied until we make the necessary tweaks.

Well perhaps "rude" was a little harsh on my side of it. too.

My leaving has really been imposed on me by VFXY, as I am no longer
using the photoblog to which my VFXY profile points, and I am unable
to change this, try as I may. As I said previously, I saw no point in
asking you to help with this. I would still be happy to stay if I
could get my new blog linked to VFXY.

Well then I'll let the thread speak for itself. Mistakes do happen, then again there's no reason to lambaste people on a public forum. It's simply not kosher no matter how upset one is.

Again we do feel your pain and I can only promise to see what I can do once I get to work. It probably a quick fix but I don't want to make it a habit that every tim someone has trouble, they complain here and we fix it.

I'll be in touch to see what is possible.
