SIGGRAPH 2025 is coming up at the end of this month and we will be hosting a Birds of a Feather session to discuss the CY2025 Draft and any other issues on our minds, not least how the transition away from CentOS/EL 7 has been going.

The session will be at 9am local time on Tuesday, July 30th. Details at:

A group of BoF organizers have coordinated schedules and co-located this BoF in the same room as many other sessions of interest to this community such as Going Cloud Native, and Renderfarming. Hopefully, that means less walking and fewer conference schedule conflicts this year.

Like all BoFs this year, it's an in-person session available only to SIGGRAPH attendees. We expect it to be an informal community discussion and Q&A without a formal slide presentation.

We are planning a follow-up virtual User Group event over Zoom later in August which would be available to everyone everywhere and will be more of a formal update. It's worth attending both if you can!
