The image data is possibly encrypted or scrambled in some weird way
because we can't get an image that makes sense out of the sniff logs
we've used.

The next step is for somebody to take this image data and actually
create a pnm file out of it.

Hi Dane,

please be more precise, nicolas and I can provide some logs and other
stuffs. Do you want the pnm file from the windows driver?
Could you please send the logs you already have ?

Cheers Romain

Well a pnm file is a portable bit map meaning that it's an image file.  We don't want the pnm file from the windows driver but a pnm file from the image code that is sniffed on a windows machine.  I personally don't have any logs.  Gabriel Franco does but I don't know if he is willing to post them because they contain his fingerprint.

If you guys want to get good logs I'm sure you can do it yourself.  You just need to get a USB sniffing program and have it sniff right before you scan your finger and stop it right after.
