Muy interesante, acotado hasta cuando M$ de soporte a VFP (que corra en los S.O. de M$) por ahora corre, pero no sería extraño que en dos o tres años mas, un nuevo S.O. de M$ deje el RT de VFP no operativo.

Además, para correr en la Web necesita de S.O. que soporten los RT de VFP, que creo que deben ser Windows (no va en Linux, al menos, tengo entendido)

Active VFP parece basarse en IIS y en ASP.NET como indica esta línea:

¿Cómo deberíamos entender ese vfp dll que menciona ahi?..

No trabajo con esa tecnología ni la he estudiado, por lo tanto solo manejo concepto generales y la pregunta no la puedo contestar.

Cuando tuve que trabajar con Web me pase a PHP (no lo hacia solo) y ahora estoy trabajando en Pythno (aprendiendo, zanahoria tras zanahoria)

Bueno..ASP.NET no es la gran cosa que digamos. Solo se trata de una tecnología del lado del servidor web mas, tal como PHP o JSP (Java). Los lenguajes del lado servidor también son llamados Back End.

El lenguaje por default del lado del servidor (Code Behind, en terminología MS) es Vb.net. De forma adicional es posible indicarle a ASP.NET que use C# como lenguaje del lado del servidor web. Por ejemplo:

En el archivo Default.aspx.cs se ponen códigos C# y en el otro con extensión .aspx van los archivos que tienen la vista (la V del MVC) o el código Front End (HTML, CSS, JS, etc).

Como ve no es la gran ciencia lo del asp.net.. pero el asunto interesante aquí es saber que hace ese vfp dll

¿Te queda fácil averiguar si se puede ejecutar ActiveVFP en Apache?
