I recently got a vFense set up running on Ubuntu 12.04. I have five clients reporting to the server. Windows 8.1, Windows 7, and Ubuntu. However they only report the need for OS specific updates.
What third-party updates does vFense support?

My apologies for he late response. But essentially vFense can install any application for windows that has a silent install switch. If it is linux you can install any rpm/deb

But they are not automatically detected and downloaded like the OS updates? Which is fine in my environments where I know the software installed, but not for the ones that could have random software. Thanks
