Hope someone could help me figure this out. I was able to install the vFense server successfully but when I try to install the agent on one of the ubuntu servers I get the following:

Error(s):
    - Failed to reach: "10.0.0.188"

The install command I run is: sudo ./install -s '10.0.0.188' -u 'admin' -p 'adminpass'

BTW, do I use the admin user and pass that were supplied after vFense server install? or the agent api user credentials (agent_api)?

I'm able to ping the server IP 10.0.0.188 just fine, I even turned off the firewall on the vFense server to eliminate that from the equation.

Agent version: 0.7.2

Agent machine OS:
Description:    Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release:        14.04
Codename:       trusty

Server running same version of the OS. The vFense installed on port 9060?? is that normal? all docs point to port 443!

Server vFense version is same as github.

Thank you for your help.

Is nginx running on the vFense server and listening on port 443?

You were correct. I didn't notice that nginx had failed to start because of the missing upload_module. I commented those entries out and started nginx and now everything works.

Thanks for your help.
