Right now, there are about 2 teams worth of players signed up. Please take these actions today so you don’t miss out!
Hockey Friends:
It's that time of the year again! As always, this year’s
Founder's Cup will be held at Wissahickon Skating Club (550 W. Willow Grove Ave., Philadelphia PA). It will be on Sat./Sun.,
March 21 & 22, 2026. Please save the date and make plans to close out the season with this fun event.
The details:
-
Usual, format of a draft/mixer to make 3 or 4 teams of mixed “C” level skills with most guys in the 45 - 60 year old skills range. Many of us play against one another during the regular
season. So, “shuffling the deck” is a great way to reconnect, get know familiar faces and make new friends.
-
Relaxed atmosphere
– Two refs per game, but they mainly just drop the puck, call icing and offsides!
-
Easy game times during each morning and afternoon. No night games. Minimum of 3 games played. The two finalist teams will get a 4th game.
-
Players from out of town typically get rooms at the Conshohocken Marriott (Marriott Phila. West) for Sat. night (see below)
-
Sat. night festivities! This is when some of the best memories are made. The stories that come out of dinners and bar crawl in Conshohocken are hilarious, but what happens in Conshy
stays between us.
-
Fee: $ 160 per player and includes ice times, refs., maybe a commemorative gift (last year’s was a golf cap with embroidered logo), unlimited beer, N.A. sport bevs., soda, bottled water,
hearty snacks, hoagie trays for lunch, coffee and bagels in the AMs throughout the weekend.
If you are a team captain, organizer or have friends outside of WSC that would like to play, please re-send this email using your team distribution list to promote this tourney.
(Don’t count on my list-keeping skills!) Even if preliminary, have your players reply
