I have some interesting news. PNY has decided to fill or slot on Thursday with a team form their growing youth program.
Here is the initial notification.
I wanted to touch base with you as we have finalized our season schedule here at PNY. This season we have a new Junior program skating out of the rink in addition to our 20 Quakers teams. Unfortunately, we do not have any weeknight slots available to accommodate VFC this year. I am sorry we could not make it work this season - we are very limited with one sheet of ice.
Thank you for making PNY your home these past few years. I wish your group continued success.

I am very disappointed to hear that you do not have a spot for the VFC for the upcoming season. We have been with the rink since the reopening and endured some tough time back in the day. We would have appreciated a little more of a heads up, as we are now in a difficult position as we scramble to find ice time. Please let me know if there were any extenuating circumstances that factored into your decision.
Should there be any change or reconsideration, please let me know as soon as possible.
Thanks for all your help over the years and we are sad that our tenure at PNY is ending this way.

We are disappointed as well. We have filled our daytime ice, but unfortunately it pushed all of our afternoon ice back one hour. We now have Quakers 16U teams practicing at 9:30 PM. There were no extenuating circumstances; we just had to make sure we had ice for the Quakers team practices. We actually had to reduce the number of Quakers teams as well. With one sheet and the township curfew of 11:00 PM, our hands are tied here. Someday we hope to have another sheet somewhere so we can continue to expand.
You will be the first to know if anything changes. My sincere apologies as this is not how any of us wanted this to be. Thank you for all your support over the years.
Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the situation. This has left us in a bad spot. We have reached out to the Skatium and have reserved icetime on Tuesdays at 10:25. Not a great time but it is the only option we have at this point. At this time, we need to know if there is enough interest in playing this year at this time.
