Good morning,

I have encountered a problem when searching for a cell type on the virtual fly brain. When I enter the name of my neuron type of interest, I only come across individual cells (see photo) and not the cell type itself. I wanted to know if there was a way of solving this problem to make cell type searches easier by having them as the first result.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Best regards,

Rebekah Ricquebourg

Hi Rebekah,

Thanks for your enquiry. If you select 'Type' in the list of filters, your search will be restricted to types and individual cells will be excluded.
If you want to exclude types, you can click a second time for a negative filter.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer.
I tried to select 'Type' but it removed everything from my research. I did not select or deselect anything else.
Also, I am using Chrome, I don't know if this could help the investigation.

Best,

Hi Rebekah,

I have been able to reproduce your bug, where if an individual neuron is selected from the search results, subsequent searches will no longer return types. We will try to get this fixed as soon as possible. In the mean time, the search seems to work again if you go back to https://v2.virtualflybrain.org/ and start again. Or you can always navigate to the cell type of an individual from its 'Classification' in the term info pane.

Thank you for reporting this issue.

Best regards,
Clare
