Interesting. Maybe I'm not clamping my hooks tightly enough in the
vise, because I can't ever remember breaking a hook in the vise,
other some 28's. And nearly all of my hooks are Mustad.

Allan,They were not breaking in the vise. The barbs were flattened before the flies were tyed. The hooks broke while catching fish.
