Peggy - that Brassie is CLASSY (I like it!), Pete's Gummy Stone will WORK in the Feather River and Truckee as will Joe's Bow Jaun Worm, Jay - your Butt Monkey is also gping in my Steelhead Box.

Again great job to all the tyers. Get well DesertEagle, Hope Dan's flys turn up (USPS at it's best again) and to those that failed to honor a committment - the deserttrout says "Boo on you"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim,

Your post made me go check my mail box.  YIPPEE!  Mine were here too.

I second everything that Jim said.  But those flies are going in my display case.
The one thing I have to add is that some dood named Jim Phillips also tied a beautiful
Truckee River Special that came in my collection!

Great job everyone - and thanks for participating.

Chuck, many thanks again for hosting this one.

Allan

Jim: You're welcome... I hope they were all sorted correctly (my wife
sorted and mailed them ROFL)...Anyway, I can't wait to get back on the
lake myself. Bad weather here. But I did find a 7hp Outboard for my
jon boat for $150 (and it runs LOL).. That's a steal...Just hope the
guy don't sell it before I get up the moo lah.. Chuck

How do you have your display case set up? Interested...
I have a couple shadpw box frames but those are for the Chili Pepper Swaps.  Guess I could make some more but I am running out of wall space in my bathroom.  Yes, my bathroom!  My bride has a thing about bugs - really and she will not allow them, dead, alive or artificial in the main part of "her" house. So my bathroom, next ro my workroom is my area... Ha! fixed her but now I have to clean the rooms.

Back to my question: how is it set up, composed of and so forth?

Curious about the Truckee Special.  Is it a streamer, wet fly, or what?  Do you have a pic?

Larry: I can take a pic..Unless Jim Phillips already has a pic. May be a while as we had tornadoes last night, and things are pretty strewn around here. One cut a path several MILES long only 8 miles from here, and one of our best friends had their house and cars unharmed, but EVERY tree in their yard (including some HUGE oaks) were blown down.. And they slept through it LOL. Chuck

Send me your snail mail addy and I will send you a couple. I think its a nymph. Or I will send a couple with our swaps. Your choice. Maybe I will make a bunch and give a couple as a bonus in one or both of the swaps.  I have to make some for a Western Fly Swap on another forum/site so it will be no problem.  I will get to them after I finish my Chi;i Pepper Soft Hackles for the STBII swap.

I first saw one at "Gilley's" in Sparks NV (my favorite Fly Shop in the Reno area - SOG/SFA rules) and they had a picture only. This is my interertation and by golly, it works with an indicator and as a dropper. Is sort of a Midge too come to think about it.

Jim:  Thank you.  My address is

I think it is with the flies I sent for the swap.
I have family in Sparks and Reno.  My mother-in-law tells about going fishing up the Truckee with her father when she was a little girl.

Larry: No problem... The point of swaps is to learn from each other, Chuck
