I'm curious. What did Santa bring you in the way of fly fishing stuff.
I got a neat pair of Korkers wading boots. Wow! these ain't your
Uncle Marvins kind of boots. Talk about Hi Tech! Got a Carhart
canvas vest, a battery operated filet knife, a Dr. Schol's foot massager
for when I come in off the stream, a vibrating, pulsating chair seat for
my poor back after wading all day.

But - I didn't get a single fly rod, not that I need any more. I have
20 right now. Call me a "hoarder", but you just can't have too many
fly rods. Same goes for fly reels.

I got a Lamson Velocity 3 reel to go w/ the 7wt rod I haven't bought yet. I
also got a couple of beautiful hand carved & painted bass plugs, but I won't
be able to use them w/ a fly rod. Marcie told the guy "he likes crappie."
Also got a Cabela's gift card from a brother in law. I need hooks...
Can't have too many fly rods, just like you can't have too many guitars. Not
even close on both counts:)

If you can send me some photos, I might be able to help you identify them,
Jimmy also has some background on bamboo rods.

My wife got me every bit of fly tying stuff I needed! And I got her
everything she need for all her
sewing.

p.s. - We didn't give each other anything and had an enjoyable time doing so.

Received one fishing related item, a book by Art Lee "Tying and Fishing the
Riffling Hitch."

Hopefully, it will increase my productivity on the steelhead and salmon
streams ;))
