Dear All ,

Volunteer for a Better India (VBI) is a social initiative of the Art of Living that is making it easy for citizens of Mumbai to come together in service and use their skill, time and resources to help build a better Mumbai.  VFABI Mumbai is part of VBI, a pan-India initiative to help create a just, peaceful and prosperous country.  It is a call to action where every citizen is invited to come forward and pledge a small portion of their time in service to address a genuine and immediate need of their local or city.

Vision of VBI Mumbai

Mumbai, the city which never sleeps, is a conglomerate of seven islands, which today serves more than 20 million people of the country. Every year, thousands of people fly down to the city, to meet their dreams and fulfil their desires. Every evening when the city is lit up, it re-gains a sense of hope, a moment of happiness. Each time tragic events strikes us, we come together and combat the situation. Today we Mumbaikars are standing on the edge, facing several challenges every single day. It is time for us to come together, to nurture, protect and care for the city.

VBI Mumbai is that neutral platform that will make it easy for individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of cultural, religious, ethnicity, caste, organizational or spiritual affiliation, to volunteer and be in service, to make community service a way of life and thereby help build a just, peaceful and prosperous Mumbai.
