Hello

First  i need to say thanks for such a fine  thing like vexim.
I dicovered it  2004  since then i use(d)  it on several machines .

My last working installation is on Debian 8  which works fine.
Now  the time has come to renew another one and i running in a  unknown Problem.

After the installation of the prerequisites all seems good.
I can access Vexim Frontend without problems, i can  create  Domains there and  if i which i can relogin as postmaster and creater user.
Now i recognize the  folder/filestructure  like  [domainname][mailboxname] is not on the place i expected.
I search whole system but it seems the Folders and files are not here.
i took a closer look on the logs  and turn on php warnings but nothing happened , not error messages , no fault message , still the folders wont be done
I checked permissions and ownerships on the location  but  its ok , i try to give more then need like 755  (722 is enough normaly) but no change and no folders.

If i do the folder structure by hand and  create all that folders and files chown it  , it works .

Next i compared the working one with the not working one , php settings and so on but seems there is no difference (or my eyes are tired  from searching)

Anyone have a idea about ?
Let me know  and i will provide  log files or configs

excuse my bad english  its not my native language but i working on it ;)

thanks for helping

regards harry

Normally the vexim-interface generates a welcome mail and exim will create the file-structure. Make sure that the uid/gid of your virtual user (mostly vexim or vmail) is set in your database and the config/variables.php.

You have to check if php does properly pass mails to exim. To check if your virtual-user settings are correct, you can send a mail via smtp to your server, exim should then create the mailbox-folders as well.
