Hi all,

for the new release of vexim, we came across several patches (Schirmacher/Sjøstedt) which implemented a subject rewriting. This means if a mail is considered to be spam, the subject is rewritten into "**** SPAM **** original_subject". We suspect this option to be obsolete (client-side and server-side filters can do this on a hidden X-Spam-Flag in the header) and wouldn't implement it into the new version. Except you use it and you really need it.

If anyone uses this subject rewriting feature, please reply to this mail or post directly to https://github.com/vexim/vexim2/issues/78.

Hi folks,
so, we have no replies in two weeks. Alrighty then, we'll assume that
this feature is not our top priority, and will decide ourselves whether
or not implementing it is something worth spending time on.

Thanks!

I should have replied and said that I personally don't.

I haven't seen it used in a very, very long time.
Relic of an era gone by :)
