Edge devices often have no remote management options. When their network connection fails, they need to handle the issue autonomously. Adding to the challenge, the exact steps these IoT devices must follow are unique to their environment.

I created edge-netdog as a last-resort solution for IoT devices that experience network problems. It is simple, flexible, and intended to run on small Linux devices like the Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, or Wyze Cam.

The NetDog G2 provides a reliable means of monitoring generator dry contact alarms. The NetDog G2 is our smallest RTU that has the ability to report over IP to your SolarWinds SNMP Manager or T/Mon NOC.

The NetDog G2 also features direct email ability as well as a POTS modem for alternative path reporting to a pager in case of LAN failure. Also, the NetDog is surface-mountable and features a built-in terminal strip for easier alarm termination.

The new NetDog 82IP (G2) has a capacity of 8 discrete inputs, and 2 control relays. The NetDog 82IP's 8 discrete alarm inputs can accept any contact closure type of event, such as door switches, fuse alarms, major and minor equipment alarms, high temperature alarms and tower light monitors.

We have an option for the NetDog that features four Analog Ports with an external sensor probe. The 2 control relay outputs can be used for a number of functions including operating standby equipment, door locks or emergency lighting. The NetDog 82IP's built-in 33.6 modem will not only dial to a pager directly to report a fault or alarm, but once alerted, the staff can dial into the NetDog 82IP using the telnet session and control up to 2 different pieces of equipment i.e. back up generator, turning lights on etc. A trap will also be sent to your SolarWinds SNMP manager.

The NetDog 82IP is easy to install, with connectors for all ports and captive screw-lug terminals for alarm and control wiring. The unit mounts on any vertical flat surface, or it can be desktop mounted. If needed, we also carry mounting panels for equipment rack mounting. The built in 33.6 modem is a great way to get dial up access to this equipment should your primary transport fail. The NetDog 82IP is programmed using any generic TTY terminal.

The easy-to-use menus enable you to quickly set up your NetDog with your pager number, point descriptions and additional options. Programming can also be done using your LAN or via dial-up modem. The entire configuration is saved on the NetDog where it remains secure through power outages in non-volatile RAM. The NetDog 82IP can also ping up to 32 network elements which will notify Morgan Consultants if Network Elements that are key to your operations are not reachable.

If an element fails to respond to successive pings, or if something is amiss with the environmental controls, the NetDog 82IP notifies personnel using a variety of methods with a complete status message, including sending an SNMP trap over IP to your SolarWinds SNMP Manager and/or a text message to your pager. The integrated Web Browser interface will make for easy and convenient alarm management and unit configuration via corporate LAN/WAN or the Internet. The user-friendly interface allows complete access to all the functions of the unit and enables the user to quickly set up alarm point descriptions, view alarm status, issue controls, and configure paging information, as well as additional options. City of Dallas Residents with an SR number may have free-roaming / feral cats spayed or neutered at no cost to them. Rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccination and *ear tip are included with surgery. The program requires that the cat is feral or un-owned. Cats must be free-roaming cats within the City of Dallas; this program does not cover kittens that are trapped and then go into a rescue group for adoptions. Only 1 SR number is required per address. Please note that if you bring a cat that is found to already be spayed or neutered or if you do not have an SR number, grant funding will not pick up the cost associated with the services rendered. You will be responsible for all services performed.

Get a service request (SR) number online. Once you click the link select Animal Loose Cat. Fill out all the information on the cats and get the SR number. Bring the SR number to the clinic or transport location with the cats.
*Ear tipping is where the tip of the left ear is clipped while under anesthesia. This is painless to the cat and is very important once you release it back into the community. If the cat is trapped again, the trapper will release it after seeing the tipped ear.

Low-cost Vaccines and Wellness: First-come, first-served. No Appointments are taken. In order to provide a level of care and due to high volume, we may limit the number of clients. Wait times may vary and could run up to 1 hour or more.
To decrease wait times you can print and fill in vaccine forms ahead of time here.

Everyone arrives for check-in and check-out at the same time. Wait times can be up to an hour or more.
Walk-ins are welcome if space is available after clients with appointments are checked in. Space is limited so we cannot guarantee services without an appointment.

A minimum of 6 cats are taken on a first-come-first-served basis during open surgery days. 2 cats per person. More will be accepted if the clinic is not at capacity. No appointments are given. We request that you do not arrive until at most 20 minutes before check-in time, and if you do arrive early, please wait in your temperature-controlled vehicle.
