Dear Readers,
If you have seen the Washington Post article (hit piece) on veterans
it paints all veterans as committing fraud, and getting benefits that
are not earned. Last week at a senate hearing Daniel Gade stated
that no one rated 60 percent or less should be compensated, and to my
shock and dismay only Sen. Tammy Duckworth had the common sense and
Chutzpah to forcefully challenge the lies of Daniel Gade.
In an article today from military times:
"WASHINGTON — House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., joined
the top Democrat on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee on Wednesday
in urging Republican lawmakers not to politicize the delivery of
disability benefits to veterans.
Speaking to the nation’s largest veterans advocacy groups, Jeffries
and Rep. Mark Takano, D-Calif., pledged their commitment to support
veterans with benefits and services, as some Republican lawmakers push
reforms at the Department of Veterans Affairs. “This should never be a
partisan issue. It is an American issue. I want to reiterate our
commitment to veterans and your quality of life,” said Jeffries, who
kept his comments brief but stayed for most of a 90-minute roundtable
Wednesday organized by Takano and Democrats on the House Veterans’
Affairs Committee. Jeffries said veterans need to be “treated with the
respect and dignity they deserve.”

Write your Senators and Congressman and ask them not to fall for the
lies of the Washington Post and the likes of Daniel Gade. Write and
thank your congressman if they have voiced support.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth (of Illinois) deserves a lot of praise, if you
are in her State then write or call her and thank her for her support
of veterans. Same goes for Rep. Jeffries (NY).
