Project 2025 Veterans

Dear Readers,

The American Heritage Foundation, which is a think tank has come up with a plan for President Trump if he wins election.  The plan is over 900 pages long, you can read the entire report at:

The section dealing with veterans is at page 641-655.  And has nothing that greatly helps veterans. 

 

The Project 2025 veterans section makes no mention of the fact that the VA compensation is currently being paid at poverty levels.  And that the base compensation for disabled veterans should be increased over and above any COLA (cost of living adjustment).  I suggest Project 2025 rework their book to include increases to VA compensation.

The Project 2025 plan does state that abortion and gender change should not be done by the VA. 

The plan also states that the VA should make veterans aware of their rights to use some community based care.

Getting community based care through VA is like pulling teeth, which the VA will not do for veterans (unless you are rated 100 percent). It's like the VA thinks veterans have no mouths.  

So far as gender changes I agree it should not be done with VA funds.  You are free to be what you want but on on taxpayer funds 

Abortion if legal in the State the veteran lives should be a question for the veteran and her doctor.
