CORRECTION IN DISABILITY PENSION

 

Sir,

 

1.         I had taken voluntary retirement with effect from 12 Oct 2011.  My pension constitutes of service element and disability element.

2.         My pay details at the time of retirement were:-

            [a]        Basic              -           Rs 53780.00

            [b]        Rank pay       -           Rs   8700.00

            [c]        MSP               -           Rs   6000.00

            Total emolument works out to Rs 68,480/-(Rupees sixty eight thousand four hundred eighty only).   And accordingly my pension was fixed at 50% of Rs 68480 i.e. Rs 34240/-,  PPO No -08/14/A00032012.

3.         The disability element for 20% disability, after broadbanding to 50% should have been 15% of Reckonable emolument i.e. Rs 10272/- [Rupees ten thousand two hundred seventy two only].

4.         But as per Corr PPO No 08/14/A/Dis/0056/2012 I am getting Rs 4109/- which is 15% of none of the above emolument but 6% of the total emolument.  It appears that instead of broadbanding the disability element to 50% and fixing the disability pension to 15% of total emolument, pro-rata it has been fixed at 6% of total emolument.

5.         Apparently this correction to the software package Suvigya is also required which has been supplied to various agencies so that correct amount of disability pension is granted to all the effected individuals.

6.         You are requested to clarify this anomaly and issue correct Corr PPO for correct amount of disability pension.

Sir,
On 12th August 2014, I lost my original discharge book in the market of Prem Nagar, Dehradun, subsequently I lodged an F.I.R. at POLICE CHOWKI, PREM NAGAR. When I reached to Sainik Zila Board, Dehradun they advised me that you apply for a substitute copy of Discharrge Book from AFRO, New Delhi. I did so and along with a letter issued from Sainik Zila Board and a copy of F.I.R. was forwarded to AOC, AFRO New Delhi on 19th September 2014.
Later on, I received an e-mail of Air Commodore AK Patra, who advised me to forward an affidavit immediately to DAV, SUBROTO PARK, New Delhi. I have forwarded affidavit(Original) along with photocopy of FIR and forwarding letter of Sainik Zila Board on 19th December 2014.
Till date no response has been received by me which is resulting in delay for my registration at Sainik Zila Board, Dehradun. I request all concerned authorities to help me in this regard for availing substitute copy of my Discharrge Book at the earliest for availing my post-retired benefits.

I posted this two things on date. there after i received e mail of Air cmde A K Patra on  21 sep 14 ,who adviced me to send an affidavit of loss . An affidavit ,Ihave forwarded on 19 Dec14 ,since then no response  i have received. Dear sir,
I have been dischared from service on 31 jan 2015 after completion of 20 years. So far i didnt get my PPO order. When enquired on 23297758 staff is telling tbey have not recd my PPO yet. Where as our all entrymates got their PPO. Sir, Kindly intervene my case and do the needfull as early as possible.

There is no need to worry. Login to income tax site using your PAN and download form 26AS .  All the details will be there.  It's authentic.

Hi

My father an ex JWO in Indian Air Force who had served from 1960 to 1983, recently passed away.

Last 10 years he and my mother were residing with me in New York, USA.

Due to the time difference it's very difficult to contact IAF record office on  phone.

I did send emails to dav.a...@gov.in, af...@iaf.nic.in and af...@vsnl.net, detailing his demise, and a request to convert the service pension to family pension on my mother's name. Included in the emails were scanned copies of death certificate and other necessary documents like discharge certificate and PPO.

It's been more than 12 days and I haven't received any reply from  dav.a...@gov.in. Emails to the other two addresses came back as server not found or Invalid ID notification.

Kindly assist me in my endeavor to convert my father's service pension to that of a family one.

I would like to know:

1.  whom to contact?
2. where or how to contact?
3. what documents to send? 
4. would a scanned copy suffice or do I need to mail originals by post?

I would be grateful for any help.
