Clarification Regarding Expiry of MoA for Empanelled Hospitals on 14 March 2026

What's going on? The validity of the MoA for all empanelled hospitals expires on 14 Mar 2026.

 Is the ECHS going to stop providing treatment at empanelled hospitals?

ECHS के तहत सभी सूचीबद्ध अस्पतालों के साथ हुए समझौते (MoA) की वैधता 14 मार्च 2026 को समाप्त हो रही है।

क्या ECHS सूचीबद्ध अस्पतालों में उपचार बंद कर देगा?

As per ECHS Portal information, it applies to all ECHS  empanelled hospitals nationwide after this date 14.3.26.

Dear Sirs,

I have cross-checked the ECHS portal and verified that the validity of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for empanelled hospitals listed under various Regional Centres is uniformly shown as expiring on 14 March 2026.

In view of the above, uncertainty still persists regarding what will happen after this date.

It is therefore requested that an official clarification be issued on the following:

What arrangements have been made to ensure continuity of treatment at ECHS Empanelled Hospitals for ECHS beneficiaries after 14 March 2026?
Specifically:

1. Whether existing MoAs will be extended automatically, or

2. Whether fresh MoAs are being executed with empanelled hospitals, and

3. Whether beneficiaries can continue availing treatment without interruption.

This matter is of significant importance to beneficiaries across the country, and an early clarification will help avoid confusion, anxiety, and possible denial of treatment.

This is so because MOU with new rates are being signed which would apply simultaneously after 14 Feb on all India basis.

Likely some may walk away despite higher rates.

The MD is addl charge and has little or no time for ECHS

Dear Sir,

The present situation has arisen due to the execution of new MoUs incorporating revised rates, which are to be implemented uniformly across the country with effect from 14 February. While the revision seeks to rationalise and standardise the empanelment structure nationwide, its effective implementation requires close supervision and decisive leadership.

It is noted with serious concern that the post of Managing Director, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), is presently being held as an additional charge. Such an arrangement is administratively unsound, particularly at a time of nationwide rate revisions and fresh MoUs.

The absence of dedicated, full-time leadership risks delayed decision-making, weak coordination with stakeholders, and inconsistent implementation across Regions and Polyclinics. Considering the scale and sensitivity of ECHS operations, the immediate appointment of a full-time Managing Director is imperative to ensure effective governance, uniform implementation, and institutional accountability.
