Dear Veterans,

 

Please refer to my last mail as reproduced below,

 

Blank Nomination Form for Life Time Arrears  which can be

printed and filled with your details and submitted, is attached.

 

The form sent earlier was a sample and could not be used directly

for filling your details.

 

This action  is must whether you have a joint pension account or there is

already a will existing, and even if you had submitted the same with your

pension papers just before retirement.   In any case you do not have the

ack copy with you, which can create problems for your nominee

to get the arrears accruing at a later stage  for the period when the

pensioner / family pensioner was alive.

 

The ack copy of the bank should be placed in your pension file kept the

custody of your nominee

Dear fellow Veterans,

 

          Please note that there is "Rule 5" under the "Payment of Arrears of Pension (Nomination) Rules, 1993" and also Def Pension Instructions at page 206, which is not known to most of us.  It has been authentically confirmed from PCDA (Pensions) that the Rules do not permit payment of Life Time Arrears , if any to FAMILY PENSIONERS  which may accrue after the demise of the pensioner, unless there is a proper nomination made by the pensioner during his life time to the effect.

          In cases where there is no nomination the procedure to get the arrears is  tortuous as the legal heirs will need to get succession from courts.

          We have experienced so many changes in pension entitlements since 01 Jan 2006 and some are still to be implemented incl arrears which will accrue on OROP. Just in case we get our movement orders before these arrears are credited to us, our family will not be able to get them easily.

          We had uploaded all details in the past on this subject on our web site for veterans to take action. In case you have not taken this action, then  for the sake of your family make the nomination today.

Nomination for Payment of Life Time Arrears- SB Acct 3xxxxx 0100 1xxxxx

IC 1111 M  Brig I AM SMART, R/O House No, 1234,  Sector -A3, Noida

 

1.         My pension is credited to ^-my Savings Account as above and my PPO number is M/xxxxx/ 20xxx dated 2^nd may 1995

 

2.         I am yet to receive all the arrears due to me on account of 6th CPC and as a result of Court case and OROP. In order to avoid any difficulty arising out of the demise of the pensioner before all the arrears are paid, the pensioners have been advised to fill in & submit a nomination for Life Time Arrears vide Instructions hoisted on the website of PCDA (Pension), Allahabad.

3.         Accordingly, please find enclosed 3 copies of the Nomination form. One copy is for the records of the Bank, second copy for submission to PCDA(Pension), Allahabad by the Bank and the third copy which may please be receipted with signatures and stamp of the bank for my records.
