    We are happy to see that you have examined the tool so intimately, thanks for your keen interest.

   I had started the Signals Parivaar in 2008 in a very humble way basically for my course-mates and colleagues, sixth CPC encouraged us to examine the report and its application critically, that we decided to expand its scope to inform new  entitlements and fixation of revised pension and the arrears.   All that is till available on our web site.

     As of date it is for all faujis incl Navy and Air Force. We have approximately 20 GB of data in the cloud linked with the name Signals Parivaar. We have over 12000 direct members today, as such we are not in a position to close the group or change its name since that will delink all our cloud data rendering it irretrievable. It will then be not available to the veterans.  There is hence no other choice but to continue with the same name. We are however running a parallel group called Our Bigger Family for all faujis, presently it have over 7000 members from all arms inc IN and IAF. We also have large number of JCOs and Men in another group served by us.

     As regards the on line Tool, first it calculates the increase in the basic pension for OROP2 revisions and the  age of the veteran based on his DOB so entered not only as of today but on the last day of the 45 months from Jul 19 to Mar 23. It automatically gives the enhancement from the month when one crossed 80, 85 and so on.

    It then adds the disability element based on disability %ge entered and lastly applies the DA for each month. Once done it adds the arrears  for all the 45 months as the arrears so entitled.

     More than 75000 veterans have already used this tool for their calculations. The calculations are done down to a paisa, only the total is being rounded off .

     The calculations are 100% accurate down to a rupee. The users must have patience while using the tool are follow the instructions given there to get the correct results.

     We are happy to serve the community with nothing in return but good will from those who have been able to get totalling over 4.5 Crores of Rupees as arrears from their banks which were not being paid for one reason or the other. Our is a NISH-KAAM DIV (Do IT Yourself) sewa with no commercial leanings or expectations but to help the veterans and families on allied issues.

Thanks for your reply. You are right. It should have been 21760 and not 21720.

Now figures may change matching with figures of  Signal Parivar .

Date format as given in the tool , I.e   08-Sep-1994, system does not understand any other format, it thus cater for different lap tops and devices.

Dates should be entered as ven on top of the tool   or 08/Sep/1994

How this figure of Pension of March 2023 has been worked out as  Rs 185395 

because as per calculations it comes to   Rs 185338

Basic Pension               Rs 108800

Age of 80                       Rs  21720

Total                               Rs 130520

DA 42%                         Rs   54818

TOTAL                           Rs 185338

 

Please advise , where I have gone wrong

It seems Brig Saab is not entering data correctly. For a Brig without age enhancement the arrears work out to be over 6 lakhs hence his arrs have to be more than 6 having crossed 80 yrs in Feb21..

 

He may kindly insert his data in the tool as per format of the dates given and then see the result given by the tool.

 

Even in his calculations,  there are mathematical errors,  at places he has not applied the DA. 

 

There is nothing wrong in the tool coding.
