To,
President, IESL

Dear Sir,

  1. Thank you for your response dated 12 August 2025, referring to my mail dated 03 August 2025.

  2. I acknowledge the stand taken by IESL at the time of the launch of SPARSH and the concerns that were raised with the Government of India.

  3. As you rightly mentioned, now that over 80% of the personnel have been migrated to SPARSH, a reversal of the process is no longer feasible.

  4. It is reassuring to note that the existing issues are being gradually resolved, and I am confident that this will continue in the right direction.

  5. Constructive engagement and support from organisations like IESL will be crucial in ensuring that the system works effectively for the welfare of our veteran community.

  6. I remain committed to supporting all efforts aimed at improving the system and safeguarding the interests of our veterans.

Warm regards,

Dear Lt Col Dhiren Bahl

1.         Ref your trailing mail dated 03 Aug 2025.

2.         The Govt of India did not agree when SPARSH was launched.  IESL opposed it.

3.         Now when over 80 percent personnel have been moved to SPARSH nothing can be done.

4.         Problems are being resolved slowly as we are all aware.

 Brigadier Inder Mohan Singh (Retd)

President

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your thoughtful and candid message.

I fully concur with your suggestion that legal recourse may be necessary to halt further implementation of SPARSH until its many shortcomings are addressed. It is indeed disheartening that such a practical and essential step has yet to be pursued by veteran organisations such as IESM, IESL and TSEWA. Your observations about our collective marginalisation, despite our years of service and sacrifice, resonate deeply and painfully.

Your clarity, conviction, and unwavering concern for the welfare of the veteran community are truly appreciated.  I too hope that the situation improves in the days ahead.

Warm regards,

Respected Bhardwaj Sir,
Ref your emails and WA msgs to me.
I had suggested a couple of times to ESM orgs like IESM and TSEWA that a case must be filed to get a stay order on further implementation of SPARSH till all inherent anomalies and problems were resolved, the sole chance of salvation for us.
However, my humble suggestion did not find favour with any of them. Your, our and everyone's woeful, pathetic and pitiful cries will, first, never reach the eyes and ears of those who matter, viz. the RM and PM.
Second, even if they do, that we are of least importance in the scheme of things, unlike the babus and the cops, so, whatsoever has been given to us by way of OROP, incomplete though it be (and grateful though we undoubtedly are and should be) is thought to be quite enough for us and we should not expect to compare ourselves with our 'superiors', the IAS and IPS, so we should forget about NFU, only the babus and cops deserve it, not cannon fodder like us.
Hats off to your persistence and diligence, that too in the face of monumental apathy of us Veterans ourselves 🫡
Warm Regards,
Lt Col Dhiren Bahl
