Having a Samsung account allows you to download content and applications by simply logging in. If you want to download Galaxy Store applications, you must be logged in to your account. However, some content such as Galaxy Essentials, can be downloaded without logging in.

Ultimately, any smart feature that's supposed to learn from the user and adapt accordingly won't work without a Samsung account. For example, Bixby Routines will work even without a Samsung account but the AI-based platform will only be good for creating manual routines. The app won't be able to learn from the user and adapt.

Hi, I have just bought a new A71 for my daughter who is 13 and she has tried to set up a Samsung account but it says she is not old enough. The T&Cs say 13-18 year olds can have an account with parental permission - how do I sort this for her? She already has a Fit2 but no longer seems to be able to access the Samsung Health App without an account on her new phone. Thanks

You can install the new Office mobile app that combines Word, Excel, and PowerPoint into a single app, and introduces new mobile-centric features to view, edit and share files without the need to switch between multiple apps. Learn more.

Use the Office mobile apps to work from anywhere, just sign in with a free Microsoft Account or a Microsoft 365 work or school account. With a qualifying Microsoft 365 subscription, you'll have access to the app's extra features.

You can use apps you bought on Google Play on any Android device without the need to pay again. Each device must be signed in to the same Google Account. You can also reinstall an app you bought but deleted.

Getting Android apps without using the official Google Play Store can be a mixed bag, depending on where you get your apps. While Android lets you install any app you want, you must be cautious about where these files come from. Also, some popular devices, like the best Amazon Fire tablets, aren't preinstalled with the Google Play Store.

You can sideload many Android apps without using a third-party installer, but that's starting to change. With the rise of "bundling" and split APKs, the original APK format is no longer the default choice for some app developers. APKs are still popular, but the Google Play Store enforces the use of the Android App Bundles format by default for new apps. APKMirror Installer supports all app file formats, including APKs, so you can safely install your apps.

After all four Google apps have been installed (again, without opening them), reboot, and you should be able to use the Google Play Store. If you get a notification that Google Play Services needs to be updated, don't worry. If you can sign in to your Google account, everything should automatically update to the latest compatible version soon after.

Some mobile apps have built-in account switching so that you can use two or more separate accounts in one place. Amazon, Gmail, Google Play, Instagram, Messenger, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube all come to mind. But what about the Android apps that don't provide account switching?

If you have two or three Facebook accounts, you can switch between them easily on a computer, but not in the mobile app. To switch Facebook accounts on your phone, you'll need to clone the Facebook app. The same goes for Skype, Tinder, WhatsApp, Zoom, and any other apps where you want two accounts running simultaneously.

Dual Messenger is an exclusive feature for dual-SIM Galaxy models that lets you clone certain social apps to use two different accounts at the same time. It's a great option if you have separate accounts for work, school, family, and your public persona. And it's perfect for apps that require an on-device phone number to run, like WhatsApp, since dual-SIM devices can have two numbers.

This way is more useful if you're going to install apps in your Secure Folder only without another copy outside the folder. If you ever need a clone, you can install the same app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store outside of the sandboxed environment.

AppLock is a free app with extensive functionality. It has an intruder selfie mode that can capture the face of anyone attempting to open your locked apps without your consent. Like most Android app pin features, it allows security options like pin, password, biometric, and pattern. You can also use a fake icon to replace the app lock feature, such as a calculator, calendar, or notepad. Here are the simple steps for you to use AppLock to lock apps on your Android phone

Looked at a bunch of other posts and cant solve this issue. My headset was working fine until today where i was forced to get a using a meta account. Since then all i get is a "Facebook Session Expired" error. I've uninstalled Facebook and Oculus apps and reinstalled, no change. I created a new FB account and Linked it but again when i open the Oculus Gear VR app i get that error, rebooted the device, no change, removed all FB accounts from my device (S9+) and added only the new account, no change. My old Oculus account doesn't work as i get a "No network Connection" error there. WTF is up with Meta forcing users into this crap that is rife with issues. And I cant raise a ticket because there is no support option for Gear VR. And I refuse to buy a $400 headset just on principle...My existing one worked just fine until today.

I recently like 2days ago factory reset the phone and reinstalled gear vr app when i tried login with my oculus account i had no network internet error i fixed it by updating version of facebook app manager and facebook app installer from 55.1.0 to meta app manager and installer 84.0.11 - after that when i tried login again it was working fine and i could login with no problem so make sure your apps are updated to latest version...

Google and Android seem to go hand in hand---Google does own Android, after all. Nearly every Android device comes with a handful of Google apps pre-installed. Does that mean it's impossible to use Android without Google? It's complicated.

When you're first setting up a new Android device, you're asked to sign in with a Google account pretty quickly. However, there's a "Skip" button if you don't want to (shown above). So, on a technical level, it's very easy to use an Android device without a Google account.

But there are a lot of "buts." The vast majority of Android apps are available through the Google Play Store. You cannot use the Play Store if you don't sign in with a Google account. That makes it much more difficult to download your favorite apps.

Of course, you also won't be able to use many Google apps without a Google account. Even a presumably simple notes app like Google Keep doesn't work without one. However, there are some apps you can still use just fine---but without syncing and personalization features. Google Maps, Chrome, Google Photos, and YouTube are a few examples.

As mentioned above, Google is part of the sign-in process on most Android devices. Even if you skip signing in with an account, all the Google apps are still pre-installed. To get a fully Google-free experience, you'll need a custom ROM.

Sadly, other options are going to be more difficult. It's simply not easy to use Android without any trace of Google. Using Android without a Google account is certainly possible as long as you're comfortable with all the other Google stuff still being present.

In some cases a user may wish to revoke access given to an application. A user can revoke access by visiting Account Settings. See the Remove site or app access section of the Third-party sites & apps with access to your account support document for more information.

Usually, third-party applications are regarded as unknown sources by the operating system of Smart TV. But you can turn on the Unknown Sources feature on the Samsung Smart TV. This feature allows you to install the apps without limits. To do so, follow the steps below:

Just had another look with the update you can still clear the data cache ----- pull you finger down from the top of the screen ---select the clog top right hand side ---- on the left hand side scroll down to the application manager select this ----- scroll down till you find samsung apps select this --- you then select both clear data then cache ---- hopefully when you go open the samsung app it will reboot for you

Here's what gets transferred: contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, photo albums, files and folders, accessibility settings, display settings, web bookmarks, mail accounts, WhatsApp messages and media, and calendars. If they're available on both Google Play and the App Store, some of your free apps will also transfer. After the transfer completes, you can download any free apps that were matched from the App Store.
