Хор Иверского Монастыря из Одессы дает представления в Австралии
В эту субботу 1-ого февраля, с 6-ти до 8-ми вечера в Св. Покровском соборе по адресу: 3 Albion Street, (corner Harrison St.), Brunswick East, всенощную будет петь хор Иверского Монастыря из Одессы.
Это – профессиональный мужской хор, который поёт по Киевскому распеву.
Эта уникальная возможность услышать такое пение в Австралии представляется довольно редко.
This Saturday, 1st February, from 6-8pm, at the Holy Protection Cathedral (address: 3 Albion Street, corner Harrison St., East Brunswick), the All-Night Vigil will be sung by the Iveron Monastery Choir from Odessa. This is a professional male-voice choir that sing material from the Kievan Chant. It is a rare chance for us in far-away Australia to hear such music.
The Choir will also be singing at the Maslenitsa Slavic Pancake Festival (tomorrow) on the main stage at about 2pm. They will be performing traditional folk songs and other a cappela pieces.
On Sunday, 2nd February, the choir will be singing at the Russian Orthodox Dormition Church in Dandenong, 3 Morwell Avenue. Divine Liturgy starts at 9am. After the service (at about 12pm), the choir will give a concert of both sacred and folk choral music in the Church Hall.

A Russian-speaking qualified financial planner, Ilya, would like to offer their services free to the Russian-speaking community by providing help with matters relating to Centrelink, specifically with completing/updating age and disability pension applications, determining eligibility for new applicants, offering consultation on existing Centrelink and superannuation rules and regulations affecting pensioners.

H3 Express reference group - opportunity for young people of migrant/refugee background
Another great opportunity for young people aged 15-25 from a migrant and refugee background, particularly those interested in the performing arts and/or health. Please pass on to your networks or any young person who might be interested.
Are you passionate about refugee and migrant young people’s health? Are you passionate about performing arts? Are you aged between 15 - 25?
If this sounds like you (or someone you know), and are from a refugee and migrant background, do something positive and join the H3 Express Reference Group to become a H3 Express Ambassador.
In 2014, the Multicultural Health and Support Service will launch H3 Express: a massive celebration of music, dance and spoken word to get the message out about sexual health. This event will provide a platform for artists to perform at Federation Square in July as part of AIDS 2014 - the International AIDS Conference which anticipates 25,000 delegates from all corners of the globe.
As an ambassador, participants will play a vital role in leading H3 Express from planning through to performance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead young people in developing skills to promote positive sexual health messages from Victoria to the world!
To join the H3 Express Ambassador group, simply provide a CV and a cover letter briefly outlining what you would bring to the role.
