With brew uninstall ffmpeg I've deleted the /usr/local/opt/ffmpeg/ linked directory and the actual /usr/local/Cellar/ffmpeg/ directory. I tried the install again but I get the same error. Of note, it appears that ffmpeg is successfully installed:

Also of note, installation of ffmpeg with the chromaprint option seems to prevent ffplay from becoming available. I am not sure what else might be compromised by this Homebrew installation bug, but otherwise, ffmpeg seems functional when installed with the chromaprint option. Even with the error message, an installation using the --with-chromaprint option renders the install enabled with the chromaprint option (per the INSTALL_RECEIPT.json file and the "enabled options" reported in the configuration) - including fpcalc.

Hey guys, how can I use Tdarr to transcode my library of audio files down from way too high quality rips? I have a ton of flac and mp3-320 files that I would like to cut down in size by converting them to mp3-192 (more than good enough for my ears and equipment). I guess I'm supposed to use something ffmpeg related, but I'm at a loss how to handle non-video files using which plugins...

Hi guys, have there been any breaking changes in Tdarr recently? I'm running the :qsv branch and I just noticed that all my automatic transcodes of h264->hevc have been failing for at least 2 weeks now (don't ask busy at work, so no time to check my logs before), while everything had been working for several months without problems. At first, I thought it might have to do with bad input files, but running them through my separate Handbrake watch folder worked fine (also using the QSV /dev/dri device as I'm using in Tdarr). Using the same files in Tdarr produced errors, I kept getting "ERROR: avio_open2 failed, errno -2" error messages in the transcoding log. I switched to a non_qsv h265 profile that is otherwise identical, and with that transcoding works, albeit painfully slow.

In affected versions there is an argument injection in the VideosController, specifically the `/Videos//stream` and `/Videos//stream.` endpoints which are present in the current Jellyfin version. Additional endpoints in the AudioController might also be vulnerable, as they differ only slightly in execution. Those endpoints are reachable by an unauthenticated user. In order to exploit this vulnerability an unauthenticated attacker has to guess an itemId, which is a completely random GUID. It’s a very unlikely case even for a large media database with lots of items. Without an additional information leak, this vulnerability shouldn’t be directly exploitable, even if the instance is reachable from the Internet. There are a lot of query parameters that get accepted by the method. At least two of those, videoCodec and audioCodec are vulnerable to the argument injection. The values can be traced through a lot of code and might be changed in the process. However, the fallback is to always use them as-is, which means we can inject our own arguments. Those arguments land in the command line of FFmpeg. Because UseShellExecute is always set to false, we can’t simply terminate the FFmpeg command and execute our own. It should only be possible to add additional arguments to FFmpeg, which is powerful enough as it stands. There is probably a way of overwriting an arbitrary file with malicious content. This vulnerability has been addressed in version 10.8.13. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.CVE-2023-47470Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Ffmpeg before github commit 4565747056a11356210ed8edcecb920105e40b60 allows a remote attacker to achieve an out-of-array write, execute arbitrary code, and cause a denial of service (DoS) via the ref_pic_list_struct function in libavcodec/evc_ps.cCVE-2023-46407FFmpeg prior to commit bf814 was discovered to contain an out of bounds read via the dist->alphabet_size variable in the read_vlc_prefix() function.CVE-2023-39018FFmpeg 0.7.0 and below was discovered to contain a code injection vulnerability in the component net.bramp.ffmpeg.FFmpeg.. This vulnerability is exploited via passing an unchecked argument.CVE-2022-4907Uninitialized Use in FFmpeg in Google Chrome prior to 108.0.5359.71 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)CVE-2022-48434libavcodec/pthread_frame.c in FFmpeg before 5.1.2, as used in VLC and other products, leaves stale hwaccel state in worker threads, which allows attackers to trigger a use-after-free and execute arbitrary code in some circumstances (e.g., hardware re-initialization upon a mid-video SPS change when Direct3D11 is used).CVE-2022-3965A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in ffmpeg. This vulnerability affects the function smc_encode_stream of the file libavcodec/smcenc.c of the component QuickTime Graphics Video Encoder. The manipulation of the argument y_size leads to out-of-bounds read. The attack can be initiated remotely. The name of the patch is 13c13109759090b7f7182480d075e13b36ed8edd. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-213544.CVE-2022-3964A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in ffmpeg. This affects an unknown part of the file libavcodec/rpzaenc.c of the component QuickTime RPZA Video Encoder. The manipulation of the argument y_size leads to out-of-bounds read. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The name of the patch is 92f9b28ed84a77138105475beba16c146bdaf984. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. The associated identifier of this vulnerability is VDB-213543.CVE-2022-3341A null pointer dereference issue was discovered in 'FFmpeg' in decode_main_header() function of libavformat/nutdec.c file. The flaw occurs because the function lacks check of the return value of avformat_new_stream() and triggers the null pointer dereference error, causing an application to crash.CVE-2022-3109An issue was discovered in the FFmpeg package, where vp3_decode_frame in libavcodec/vp3.c lacks check of the return value of av_malloc() and will cause a null pointer dereference, impacting availability.CVE-2022-2566A heap out-of-bounds memory write exists in FFMPEG since version 5.1. The size calculation in `build_open_gop_key_points()` goes through all entries in the loop and adds `sc->ctts_data[i].count` to `sc->sample_offsets_count`. This can lead to an integer overflow resulting in a small allocation with `av_calloc()`. An attacker can cause remote code execution via a malicious mp4 file. We recommend upgrading past commit c953baa084607dd1d84c3bfcce3cf6a87c3e6e05CVE-2022-1475An integer overflow vulnerability was found in FFmpeg versions before 4.4.2 and before 5.0.1 in g729_parse() in llibavcodec/g729_parser.c when processing a specially crafted file.CVE-2021-38291FFmpeg version (git commit de8e6e67e7523e48bb27ac224a0b446df05e1640) suffers from a an assertion failure at src/libavutil/mathematics.c.CVE-2021-38171adts_decode_extradata in libavformat/adtsenc.c in FFmpeg 4.4 does not check the init_get_bits return value, which is a necessary step because the second argument to init_get_bits can be crafted.CVE-2021-38114libavcodec/dnxhddec.c in FFmpeg 4.4 does not check the return value of the init_vlc function, a similar issue to CVE-2013-0868.CVE-2021-38094Integer Overflow vulnerability in function filter_sobel in libavfilter/vf_convolution.c in Ffmpeg 4.2.1, allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service or other unspecified impacts.CVE-2021-38093Integer Overflow vulnerability in function filter_robert in libavfilter/vf_convolution.c in Ffmpeg 4.2.1, allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service or other unspecified impacts.CVE-2021-38092Integer Overflow vulnerability in function filter_prewitt in libavfilter/vf_convolution.c in Ffmpeg 4.2.1, allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service or other unspecified impacts.CVE-2021-38091Integer Overflow vulnerability in function filter16_sobel in libavfilter/vf_convolution.c in Ffmpeg 4.2.1, allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service or other unspecified impacts.CVE-2021-38090Integer Overflow vulnerability in function filter16_roberts in libavfilter/vf_convolution.c in Ffmpeg 4.2.1, allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service or other unspecified impacts.CVE-2021-3566Prior to ffmpeg version 4.3, the tty demuxer did not have a 'read_probe' function assigned to it. By crafting a legitimate "ffconcat" file that references an image, followed by a file the triggers the tty demuxer, the contents of the second file will be copied into the output file verbatim (as long as the `-vcodec copy` option is passed to ffmpeg).CVE-2021-35504Afian FileRun 2021.03.26 allows Remote Code Execution (by administrators) via the Check Path value for the ffmpeg binary.CVE-2021-33815dwa_uncompress in libavcodec/exr.c in FFmpeg 4.4 allows an out-of-bounds array access because dc_count is not strictly checked.CVE-2021-30123FFmpeg
