I've been using Particular, Shine and Starglow for years. I love the easy intuitive interface and most of all, the dazzling effects. I just upgraded to the whole suite a few months ago and am looking forward to learning how to use everything. No one should be without this Suite.

This suite has set trends and changed the way people design motion graphics. It's incredibly powerfull and easy to work with. It will certainly help you become a better artist and make your work shine! A must have!
I had been eyeing Trapcode suite for some time as I saw examples of some of the awesome things you could do with it. Once I got this, my projects dramatically improved and gave it that extra professional look and feel. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to really jump start their video projects.
I have just installed the Trapcode suite from Red Giant but I'm facing a problem. Only three of the eleven plugins have been installed or/and are visible to me in After Effects. Those are the exact three plugins compatible with Premiere Pro when used as host. Now, how can I change the host to unlock all the plugins in After Effects? I have obviously both After Effects and Premiere Pro installed on my system.
This might be where I think Red Giant could improve upon this suite, but skilled artists may disagree. Using the Designer in Particular as an example, why not include a sort of preset gallery or designer for some of the other plugins? Take Shine, for example. There is a drop-down menu with all the different color and light styles and parameters that control the light position and intensity. Why not build a mini designer interface that displayed a gallery of these, along with a handful of animation presets that people commonly use? Is that making it too easy? Would we see an onslaught of the same exact Shine effect in countless videos from people who thought it looked cool and changed none of the other parameters? Maybe, maybe not.
So, it looks like any customer who had to move on to the next versions of the Adobe Suite and Trapcode suite may, in fact, not be able to use the vast majority of the templates that use these plugins on VideoHive, because they were made in an older version of Particular, and will not migrate over to the new version.
But having worked with an animator who bought one part of the suite on a job, only to discover they kind of needed another part of it to more easily create the look we wanted, and then one thing leading to another, they had to buy another individual plugin, and in the end spent a good chunk of what simply buying the entire suite would have cost. So it seems that if you have all the tools, you will make use of all the tools, so you may as well get all the tools.
Trapcode Suite 14 includes eleven products, two of which are new: Trapcode Particular 3 and Trapcode Form 3. Trapcode Tao 1.2 has also been updated. The suite also includes Trapcode Mir 2.1, Trapcode Shine 2, Trapcode Lux 1.4, Trapcode 3D Stroke 2.6, Trapcode Starglow 1.7, Trapcode Soundkeys 1.4, Trapcode Horizon 1.1 and Trapcode Echospace 1.1.

Maxon recently announced two major suite updates simultaneously: Red Giant Trapcode Suite 16 and Red Giant Magic Bullet Suite 14. Trapcode Suite offers a new version of Trapcode Particular which includes new physics models, new behaviors, a new kind of emitter, and new presets. There are also some smaller updates for Trapcode Form and Trapcode Mir. Magic Bullet Suite includes upgrades to Magic Bullet Looks and Magic Bullet Colorista. There are new color workflows, new LUT workflows and abilities, many new powerful tools, and new presets.
The company has also taken measures to begin building a community of users around the Universe suite, as befits a subscription service. It's easy to be cynical about this sort of effort, given that there are already many online fora dedicated to the discussion of motion graphics and visual effects, but Red Giant has made moves to make this genuinely useful. There's a system by which users can vote up proposed future features, which is a very nice idea in a world where almost anything is now possible and it isn't always obvious what's most urgently needed next.

The Trapcode suite is a set of plug-ins for After Effects that allow video artists to create a variety of effects for inclusion in video and film productions.
