Reading Dress editors: Katherine Joslin and Daneen Wardrop
University of New Hampshire Press is pleased to announce the Reading
Dress Series. Published under the auspices of the highly regarded
Becoming Modern: New Nineteenth Century Studies, Reading Dress will
publish books by scholars whose work emphasizes the place of fashion
in the emergence of modernity in North America and Europe. We are
interested in scolarship that engages questions of clothing, textiles,
design, and production in relation to literature in its many forms and
to social, cultural, and political history. Accessibly written
interdisciplinary work that offers a translatantic perspective will be
especially competitive.
Katherine Joslin and Daneen Wardrop are professors of English at
Western Michingan University.
