E' di scena il costume - costume and theatre exhibition in Montale (Prato - Italy)

From the 5th to the 29th november 2009 is open a little exhibition in
the beautiful and recently restored Villa Smilea in Montale, Prato.
The title "E' di scena il costume" ("Costume is on the stage") refers
to the relation between theatrical costume and history of costume:
protagonist a group of 18 theatrical costumes from the Sartoria Monaco
(Agliana - Prato), a modern Laboratory for theatrical costumes with an
interesting background, and 13 didactical and philological
reconstruction (half size dolls) of ancient costumes (from Gothic to
1870ies) made for the study of the techniques and the dress of the
past.
