Preseason Parents Meeting

the Vestavian Room located at 1973 Merryvale Road, Vestavia Hills, AL
35216. At the meeting we will discuss the plan for the upcoming
season. Specifically we will be covering the following:
1: Vestavia Wrestling Clubs tournament on November 19.
a: Volunteers, training, night before preparation, day of
planning, hospitality, concessions, etc
2: "OurFunds" is our main fund raiser for this year and we will have
guest speaker Ed Ragsdale explain how it works and how we can get
started.
3: Practice times
4: Introduction of new and previous coaches
5: The new Vestavia Wrestling Gear will be available to view. All
purchases will be made online at www.vestaviawrestling.com.
6: Mat dads and coaches sign up sheets: We expect to have record
number of athletes this year and we need as much help as possible. If
you have wrestled before please sign up as a coach. You will need to
get a USA Wrestling card which VWC will pay for. This will enable you
to coach on the side of the mat at tournaments throughout the year.
This does not obligate you to be at every tournament or practice
however, it will give you the opportunity to be as involved as you
would like tot be. If you have never wrestled before and would like
to be involved, we still need your help during practice to help
organize and keep practice is flowing properly. In this case please
sign up as a mat dad.
7: Our new facility: We are very excited to have a new home at Cahaba
Heights Elementary. That being said, we do have to roll out the mats
every day. We need dads to help do this. I will have a sign up sheet
for Monday and Thursday nights. Please sign up, we cannot do this
without your help!
8: If there is anything else that you would like added to the
itinerary please let me know and I will add it.
