VESTA is not saving user defaults

Hi,

VESTA offers "save as default" for several options like atom colors, atom radii, bonds etc.. But these seem not to be saved. After restarting VESTA or opening another file always the original defaults are back. What is going wrong here?

I am using VESTA on Mac and Linux, this problem is the same in both. I also tried to set  VESTA_PREF, but the problem remains. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

İf you save as the file with vesta (CONTCAR file save as CONTCAR.vesta), you can save your format. Also,  you can open vesta file with text editor and change easily what you want.
