regarding vesta

while following the tutorial (3.25 onwards) on ubuntu (latest 24.04) my vesta ( latest stable version) crashed and i am unable to use it.

I have just solved  my problem related to installing VESTA on Ubuntu 24.04. Here step by step to do successfully:

Download file from here: https://jp-minerals.org/vesta/en/download.htm

Unzip the file: -xvjf VESTA-gtk3-x86_64.tar.bz2 -> VESTA-gtk3-x86_64
cd VESTA-x86_64
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0
dpkg -L libjavascriptcoregtk-4.1-0 | grep .so -> /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjavascriptcoregtk- 4.1.so.0
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjavascriptcoregtk-4.1.so.0 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0.so.18
./VESTA
