Does somebody know if there's a possibility to attach an axis to a certain part of my object/structure in Vesta? So when I move around, the axis of that part moves with it? Thanks! Liesbet

I do not quite understand what you mean by axis in this context. Like an arrow pointing along some direction?
Are you sure that your compass/axes are activated in Style -> Properties -> Axes menu?

If by axis you mean something more arbitrary then I think the best way to add arrows and other stuff - afterwards in graphics editor of your choice.

However, If you absolutely need to do it inside Vesta you can use following dirty hack:
1. Add arbitrary atom to chosen position of your future arrow/axis.
2. Remove any symmetry equivalent atoms through Select (s) / Del. combination
3. Go to the "vectors" menu / hit "Individual Atom" tab.
4. Create vector / select your dummy atom and Set vector to it.
5. Go to Style -> Properties -> Atoms and change Radius of dummy atom to very small value (like 0.01)
