macOS Mojave 10.14.4

Dear Dr. Koichi Momma,

I am using VESTA Ver. 3.4.6 on macOS.

After updating of the OS from 10.14.3 to 10.14.4,

VESTA does not draw anything in the "Graphics Area".

The "Plot" tab of "Powder Diffraction Pattern" is also not working.

I would be happy if VESTA would become available on the latest macOS.

The same it's happening to me. After updating to OS 10.14.4 VESTA is no longer able to draw anything in the Graphics Area.

I confirmed the issue. I found a quick workaround but I cannot compile the new source code right now because Intel compiler also stopped working after I upgraded to 10.14.4. So please wait a little while.

I uploaded a new build of v.3.4.6 for macOS on
http://jp-minerals.org/vesta/archives/testing/

I changed build environment from Intel compiler to clang because my old Intel compiler stopped working on macOS 10.14.4. I tried to link everything statically but not sure if it runs on other machines, or older OS. So please send your feedback to the forum if it works or not on your environment.

I have recently come across this same issue after updating to macOS 10.14.4. This linked version of vesta however does not work for me and gives the same response as Unnop Srikulwong's screenshot.

Thank you for reporting the problem.
I confirmed the problem and I'm still trying to find out a solution.

On debug build, that feature runs with no problem and that makes it rather difficult to solve the problem.

Dear Dr. Koichi Momma,

The new build is working well but does not read U_ij parameters in SHELXL generated CIFs.

The attached CIF is an example.

In some other formats including the ICSD generated CIF, VESTA reads U_ijs correctly.

I tried installing the testing version and the problem is still NOT solved.

I am on Mojave 10.14.4 and my graphic card info is: 

Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

And strangely I can't find the VESTA folder under the directory ~/Library/Application Support/, even if I show all hidden files. Thanks.

I have the same problem with any VESTA version. 

In my opinion this is not a problem of the OS version the problem could be with the graphic card.

In my MacBook Pro everything goes well

However in my iMac I could not solved!

These are the specifications of my iMac

I am having the same issues here. I am using a macOS Mojave 10.14.5, I downloaded the last updated version of VESTA but still there is no plot on the Graphics Area.

Although, if I export as picture I can get a .tif image in my directory.
