"Export Raster Image..." problem

hi all,

today I suddenly found out that I can no longer export a raster image of a structure from  VESTA on my system.

This is how it looks:
1) I click on the corresponding option i the menu
2) a file name selection dialog pops up, lets me pick a name
3) I expect a scale factor dialog to appear as before but nothing happens...
4) I try to restart VESTA, but closing the window does not work, File -->Exit does not work, the window stays open. the worst thing is that none of any VESTA dialogs windows appear until program restart. Means, clicking on Edit --> Bonds, Vetors, Preferences has no reaction at all. the only solution is to do "killall -9 vesta" in terminal.

I'm sure this behavior must be due to some changes on my system, since the same installation worked perfectly several months ago. Updating the installation (3.1.7. --> 3.2.1) did not help. Cleaning ~/.VESTA did not help either.

Moreover, it does not matter what kind of raster image format I'm trying to export to: png, tif, jpeg produces the same result. Exporting to vector format works fine though.

I tried running VESTA in terminal to look for some error, but there is no output. Is there some kind of verbose mode I should enable, perhaps?

The system I'm having this problem on is Fedora 20 x86_64. Desktop environment XFCE 4.12
Graphics: Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:A16]
driver: i915

Please let me how can I help you diagnosing this problem.

Thank you for the report.
The problem must be related to the wxGTK code statically linked to VESTA and the latest libraries in Fedora 20.

Right now I don't have time to reproduce and check the problem but I will investigate it.
If anyone know additional information about this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Koichi,

just following up on the issue I reported earlier. Today I found that is
gone as suddenly as it appeared. It must have been fixed by one of the
recent updates, although not sure by which one, since I didn't test it
regularly.

I guess, you can call it "fixed" until somebody else comes across the
same problem.

Hi, I'm suddenly also having the same issue (on OS X Yosemite) after it was working fine before.
By contrast, vector image output has never worked (the images are blank) and so I can't get any images out now :(
