Dear all,

I would like to build a Wulff morphology of Copper oxide, for which I have surface free energies of its most relevant crystallographic surfaces. Could anyone point me to a tutorial of how to do it in Vesta?

Many thanks in advance,

John

Hi John,

If your interest is in Wulff plot, I hope you may find these useful

Dear All,

I have seen wulff construction good good images in publication which is generated by VESTA (It is written in publication),

Can anyone tell how does construct wulff image in VESTA from surface energies.

Thank You
Shilendra

Hi Shilendra,

VESTA will indeed make a very nice drawing of a Wulff construction. Use the 'Crystal Shape' feature found at Edit --> Edit Data --> Crystal Shape. Then enter the planes you want to define your particle in a similar way to the cutoff planes in the boundary settings.

Best,
Micah
