VESTA 3.2.0 has been released

Dear VESTA users,

VESTA 3.2.0 is now available from
http://jp-minerals.org/vesta/

This is a bug fix release of ver. 3.1.9, which was just release at the beginning of August and contained a regression.
So there was no release announcement for ver. 3.1.9.

Here are changes since ver. 3.1.8.

Aug. 14 2014 ver. 3.2.0

* Fixed a bug in ver. 3.1.9 that polyhedra could not be displayed.

* Fixed a bug that contour mode in 2D Data Display window could not be changed when it was set at logarithmic mode and after reopening the window.


Aug. 7 2014 ver. 3.1.9

* Reworked "Vectors" dialog box. Now, vectors can be attached to either crystallographic sites or individual atoms, and in the former case, they are properly rotated in accordance with symmetry operations.

* Related to the above change, file format of *.vesta was also changed.

* Minor bug fixes and improvements.


For simulation of powder diffraction pattern, please note that a template file format must be compatible with the version of RIETAN-FP installed in your PC. The template file included in VESTA 3.2.0 is for RIETAN-FP v2.33. If you are using different version of RIETAN-FP, you should specify a suitable template file in the Preferences dialog box.
