Quick question:

Has anyone in the community tried playing with vertx and one of the headless browser frameworks like envjs, htmlunit, phantomjs, etc.?  If so, any account of these adventures would be appreciated!

It depends what you are trying to accomplish but this might be useful if you are looking to do basic tests.

A C client we use to "talk" to Etherpad https://bitbucket.org/rbraakman/etherpad-stresstest

The reason we use a non headless browser is because headless browsers are really expensive and if you need to spawn 1000 to load test your application you are going to need to be wasting 80%+ resources in being headless.
