Vertigo and Apache Camel

I thought some of you might find this interesting.

I know Camel already has a Vert.x endpoint. But I've been doing some digging into Apache Camel for integration, and I wanted to see how easy it would be to put together a Camel endpoint for Vertigo 0.7. I made a Vertigo component that can perform transformations, splitting, routing, etc within a Vertigo network. This also opens up the possibility to integrate Vertigo networks with Camel and any system Camel supports (which is like all of them).

Check out Vramel- https://github.com/wired-mind/Vramel you might find it interesting. We basically took Camel and put it into the vertx async model for a project we did last year. Just diving into Vertigo and think it may fit well with another project I'm working on. There are a lot of similarities with the use of flow-based programming, but we want to add a number of tools to make setup quick and easy for people who want to monitor and act on data coming from a variety of devices or web service endpoints.

Oh wow that's awesome! 

I've always planned to make other systems more accessible within Vertigo networks. Streaming to/from Camel endpoints through Vertigo ports seems to work really well actually and it was pretty easy to make a Camel/Vertigo component. But a Vert.x based solution would definitely be better - I'm just too lazy for that! Good thing you aren't! 

Now I'll have to dig in to that code as well. I'll definitely do something interesting with these. Just not sure what exactly yet :-)
