I have a new (Feb. '15) AppleTV. A friend set up Netflix using her account. Now I want to delete her account from just my device so that I may set up my own account. Please advise on how to do this. Thanks!
The process is to go to your subscriptions and cancel it from there. There is no link because it needs to be done from within your account. It can't be a generic link since it needs to tie in to your account.
If you are not seeing a subscription section in your Apple ID as per the instructions in the following support document, then you may not have subscribed to Netflix through your iTunes account, and would need to cancel by following netflix subscriptions.
To remove Netflix or an account you would need to access your Netflix account directly and update the payment method to cancel it, it would then be a case of setting up the new account via the services.
We're sorry to hear you're having an issue with unlinking your Netflix account from your Virgin Media. This is something we can certainly check for you but in order to do that I will need to confirm some information with you to pass security.
Have you received the activation email for your Netflix subscription with us? If not, you'll need to wait for this to arrive, then when you receive the email to set it up, follow the prompts to use your existing details
How on earth do you force this *lovely* device to change what account is logged into a specific channel? Someone was visiting me and added a couple channels (disney, netflix) with their account info to see if I liked them enough to subscribe. Now we absolutely cannot get the *#&!* Roku to forget their log-in info so I can use my own.
I've tried removing the channels multiple times from both website and the device, doing a factory re-set on the device itself, etc.
I really, really don't want to have to delete my entire roku account and create a new one from scratch...and frankly if I need to I'll just buy a firestick so I don't have to deal with this again.
Everything you need to know is right inside the channels themselves. You also could have called your friend and ask them to log out of all devices from within their Netflix account and Disney account.
For Disney Plus, scroll down from the header carousel to the menu of icons. On the left is the sidebar. Go there. Scroll down to Settings. In there is Log Out. Just like it is on Fire TV devices, because that's how Disney designed the app.
Yes. Navigate to your Manage Profiles page, then select the profile you want to set a password. Under Profile Lock, choose Change, and enter a custom password. After that, only the profile user can access the account profile.
To delete a Netflix profile, navigate to your Manage Profiles page from the Netflix website. Choose the profile you want to remove and select Delete Profile. You can add new profiles from here as well.
Netflix state I have to pay separate for the new account but continue paying for my exs with the sky package. Is there a way to remover the 1st account and replace it with the new one. And only pay for one account.
I believe you would need to contact Netflix and ask them to unlink the Sky account from your exes Netflix account. You should then be able to sign into the Sky glass as your Netflix user and it will link your Sky account to that.
I have X1 service and my own netflix account. I watch Netflix using my own account through the X1 Netflix Apps. Last week when I had a whole system refresh, when I go to Netflix Apps it automatically login with another user account (I don't know who she is but I can see her netflix registered email address and profiles). I acn watch netflix with her account but I want to use my own account. Comcast tried resetting the box, I reloaded the app and as soon as it comes up, it uses her account. I can force logout the account from the X1 DVR box (Arris AX103ANM) and login with my netflix account. But as soon as I logout, it switches to her account. Second problem is from the small companion tv boxes I use in other TVs, I cannot login to Netflix with my account. It piggybacks to the main DVR box and it thinks her account is the main account.
call during daytime east coast time 800-comcast and select billing. explain the problem to the agent and ask them to remove and reprovision your account then add the device back to your account. fixed?
I just got off with the customer service folks. They will try a full reset of my account at 2 am today. Will take approximately an hour and then I can check. They also scheduled a tech visit (although its restricted due to covid-19) between 1 to 3 pm later today. If the full reset works, then I can just cancel the appointment. I will post the results here.
Have you canceled your Netflix account, or are you planning to do so? There are two ways to break out of the company's chains. You can cancel or go a mile further and delete your Netflix account. Canceling doesn't mean your account will immediately cease to exist. Here we'll show you how to end your relationship with Netflix by deleting your account.
However, it's good to note that by simply canceling your subscription, Netflix will delete your account after ten months. Like deleting your Netflix profile, account deletion is a quick and straightforward process.
Netflix has an option for deleting your account inside its mobile apps. The feature is tucked away in the account settings section, but you can access it whenever needed. Best of all, you don't have to cancel your Netflix subscription first. Netflix says you can delete your account without canceling your subscription, and it will be automatically terminated at the end of your current billing cycle. After that, the company will delete your Netflix account.
Netflix will schedule your account for deletion after your current billing cycle ends. You will see a confirmation email from Netflix confirming the request was successful. If you visit the account section, you'll see a notification saying your account will be permanently deleted at the end of your billing cycle.
You may have already canceled your subscription if you can't see the Delete account option on the Account Settings page. Unfortunately, this option disappears when you don't have an active subscription (even if you've not reached the end of your billing period). If that's the case, continue reading.
As previously noted, Netflix automatically deletes user accounts ten months after canceling a subscription. However, you can request the company to delete your account earlier. This option is also applicable if you did not complete signing up but wish the entered information to be deleted. Here's how to request Netflix to delete your account:
You might have to wait a few days before hearing from the company. Keep in mind that if you request to delete your account before the end of your current billing period after cancelation, Netflix will delete your account once the billing cycle ends. Otherwise, if you don't have an active subscription, account deletion will be instant.
Netflix will delete your account, but it won't purge all the information related to you. A Netflix support page states, "We retain information following account deletion for lawful reasons, including for fraud prevention, accounting purposes, and enforcing our Terms of Use." The information in question includes your email address, device identifier, and your payment details (in encrypted form).
If you no longer use a service, delete your account. Whether it's your social media, streaming service, or any other account, just let it go and delete it. Regardless of whether it takes more than a few clicks or requires human intervention, like in the case of Netflix, do it.
If you've got a household full of Netflix viewers with radically different tastes in what they like to watch on the world's biggest streaming service, then it's likely that you've created separate profiles for everyone. Doing this is not only a great way to let the almighty Netflix algorithm curate choices better-suited to everyone individually, but it's also a great way to allow parents to set viewing restrictions to protect impressionable youngsters from watching stuff they shouldn't.
But kids grow up and leave the nest, roommates come and go, and sometimes you need to delete a Netflix profile or two to keep things neat and tidy. This can easily be done from a web browser, mobile device, TV, or streaming device. Here's how.
