process for creating super projections

I'm just curious what everyone else's process if for creating super projections is normally. I've began to avoid using dbdesigner/admintools to do everything and now just use it to create a baseline CREATE PROJECTION statement and then begin tweaking the encodings, order bys and segmentation.

Any other suggestions, better means of doing this?
