Things i have tried
- While installing the application, monarch.msi is extracted and i have installed the MSI alone to check the .exe behavior. But the behavior is not same.
- So i tried taking gap capture using wise, Actually i have repair to take gap capture.
- Even though the Main .exe of the application is missing, The missing files are not added.
- And since this application is packaged by installsheild, i tried creating response file. But the response file is not created.
- When i tried this application using "/?" command in CMD.exe, it shows as "/S /v/qn" is supported for silent installation, I tried even that, it installs without any error but the main .exe is missing and also its supporting files.

This application integrates with office and it searches for EXCEL exe so Features get installed accordingly so check what all differences using MSI logging,, check ADDLOCAL properties in log,,you may find the differences in your MSI and Setup installation...

I suspect that, for your gap capture, you omitted the step of renaming the installation data in the registry, meaning that the WI engine sees the product as being installed already and thus does nothing.
