So, this all started about 2 weeks ago. As per usual I started up my PS4 and opened up Netflix. About 20 minutes in, "Lan cable not connected" pops up. This message pops up 2-4 time in 30 seconds and then everything appears to work, but repeats after 15-90 minutes. This makes me unable to play online games reliably. I have tried a factory reset on the extender, rebuilding the PS4 database, switching the cable, switching the network type to WLAN (when I did this the issue happened again but only replaced by "No internet connection" or something to that extent) and moving the router closer to the modem, but nothing works. The PS4 works perfectly if it's connected to the modem itself. Is there any advice you could give me, or is the product broken?

It connects to the WiFi but not the Internet they have told me they don't connect to consoles so it looks like its a cancel but the bt broadband that they can't fit works with the hybrid connect on the PlayStation I'm going to call them when we're back to try and find a resolution I'm not paying 77 pound a month for 2 routers for when we are at the caravan going to try plusnet aswel

This is an ee issue I'm sending my mobile router back Monday morning I also signed up for bt broadband but there unable to fit it so they sent me an ee hybrid connect which does connect to the sons ps5 in his caravan but is unable to support any other device I think this needs to be made public which I will start to do on every social media platform

I specifically told the sales person that bt passed me to about the issue with the ps5 and they directed me to ee Mobile broadband and assured me this would be suitable and then be told by the tech team it doesn't connect to consoles this needs to addressing as its 50 pound a month for a useless product and I might add false advertising

I see this topic has been raised before but never really answered as far as I can see. I recently bought a Sonos AMP for playing TV sound through my good speakers. I connected the AMP to the speakers, and played some spotify music, it works. I then connected the TV to the AMP using the HDMI ARC port on the samsung tv, and played some netflix using the samsung app, and it worked. But next day it was not working anymore. It took a lot of debugging, but I think I found the pattern:

I use the TV only with built-in apps like Netflix and with Chromecast. As soon as I use Chromecast as tv input, the HDMI ARC connection is lost, and it does not return if I go back to Netflix. Only way to restore the connection is to remove power from tv and remove hdmi cable, switch on TV with TV sound, put in HDMI cable and select HDMI ARC output in TV settings. Obviously this process defeats the point of having a Sonos AMP in the first place, I could use any stereo amplifier with optical input and get better result.

First results: The suggestion from GuitarSuperstar actually seems to be working. I switched the Chromecast and the PS4 HDMI connections, and now with Chromecast, PS4 and Netflix / TV apps the sound works. Will update if it stops working again.

I believe the CEC functionality of the Chromecast is causing the interference. If it continues to work tomorrow, I would connect only the PS4 and test again. It it continues to work, then it probably is the Chromecast causing the problem.

You can turn off the HDMI HDCP option in the PS4/PS5 settings and the problem will be solved. As for PS3, if you can't turn off HDCP in the settings, you can contact our after-sales email. We will send you the updated software.

The problem is that due to copyright restrictions on streaming media such as netflix and prime, when the projector puts in these videos, there is only sound and no picture. Whereas you won't encounter this when projecting YouTube videos because YouTube doesn't set copyright restrictions. Possibly due to poor ventilation where the projector is placed. If the projector's vents do not flow smoothly, excessive heat from the projector may cause the screen to turn yellow/black. I am having the same issue, spoke with Sony's support and tried to restore the file system to no avail. they have confirmed that the issue is not with them since their server works fine I can log into PSN, store, netflix, youture, etc) so it seems this is an issue with spotify's server. Really hope for an answer as this is very annoying

So i reset my modem and router and it allowed me to connect (I had already connected my account online through PSN so it logged in automatically). However, after working once, I still get the same error. I can do as benharvey1985 said and start music through my phone and then connect to the PS3, but it's an issue when I am not home and others want to listen to music.

Yeah but I found that as a temporary fix,because when you start the Spotify app on your PS3 you can briefly see the login and the password slot on the app,wich means that you supposeto be able to login to spotify without using another device more than the PS3.

PS4 randomly loses Wifi connection and disconnects controller and no way to reconnect them again or having my PS4 controller to detect the console again, UNLESS I do a HARD RESET to the console (keeping the power button touched with finger for several seconds - doing a turn off / turn on cycle manually)

Some others suggest it is related to the antenna. But my console has never fallen, and if it was the antenna, I guess turn it off several wireless devices around, and approaching the Wireless controller to the console should allow the controller to detect the console. But it does not.

I'm having this annoyance constantly in the middle of an online game, and I need to restart the PS4 mannually every time in order to have WIFI and BT wireless connections restored. THERE IS NO WAY to connect them again, until I do this HARD RESET to the PS4 console.

When turned on, then everything connects again (wireless controller and WIFI). Then again, at a random time, disconnects from WIFI and Wireless controller (in the middle of a game, or movie, etc.). It just keeps doing it.

I have the same issue. I'm ready to smash my PS4 and use the Xbox 1 I have instead. When I called Sony about it they said I had to send my PS4 to them for $100, and the problem "might" be something they could fix. I could just go buy another PS4 for about $200 and actually have it work. I would really like to get this resolved. Ive only had my PS4 for about 2 years. It sholdn't be having this kind of problem.

Hello. I'm on this forum because mine and my brothers PS4's have this issue. We tried to play Overwatch last night and this afternoon but the remote keeps shutting off and we have to manually shut them down. We have 4 remotes and all have the same issue. It happened about 10 times before we decided to give it a break. This has been going on for at least 6 months. It started off every once in a while but now it's at least several times a day. I really don't want to buy a new PS4 but I might have to. I really hope someone finds a solution for this. Thanks in advance.
