For some reason, versaplexd uses a totally new bus connection to check the
authentication of the caller, rather than using its open connection. This
could be a pretty bad performance penalty, especially once we start using
SSL. But more than that, it just implies that something gross is going on
in there since this probably wasn't intentional.
